About Barnett Roofing LLC

In 1983, GLEN BARNETT ROOFING began doing residential roofs in Tyler, Texas. Glen moved his growing family and business to Idaho in 1990. He has done a wide variety of roofing including composition, metal, tile, and flat roofing membranes. His boys began to roof with him as a summer job and have been his best learners and workers. In 2014 Scott and Matthew joined him as partners in his roofing company and they updated the name of their business to BARNETT ROOFING LLC. He loves the positive influence they contribute to the business.

In 1994, Glen purchased a portable trailer and gutter machine to provide continuous aluminum gutters to the expanding services he offers.

In 2000, Glen began to use TPO membrane for his customers’ flat roofing needs and has been impressed with its workability and durability.

In 2015, BARNETT ROOFING LLC was accredited as a GAF Factory Certified Roofing Contractor.

In 2016, the gutter machine and trailer were upgraded to a newer model that offers more sizes and material options.

In 2017, GAF awarded the company a Master Commercial Roofing Contractor award for a 10/10 rating score on a 23,000 square-foot TPO roof completed for Gritman Medical Office Building III, in Moscow, ID.

In 2018, BARNETT ROOFING LLC added metal fabrication and sales to their services.

BARNETT ROOFING LLC continues to utilize the best-proven practices, but also enjoys new challenges.

Glen Barnett

Glen began his roofing career at the age of twenty. While being married to Carol for over 35 years, they are blessed to have 9 children and 10 grandchildren. As their children grew and desired to help, Glen allowed them to begin picking up trash and throwing shingles to him which helped speed up the roofing.

Outside of roofing, Glen enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing. He also appreciates looking for ways to help and minister to people. His striving for excellence and desire to serve others is reflected in the solid reputation of the family business.

Matthew Barnett

Matthew began his roofing career at a young age by picking up huge piles of trash and “throwing” shingles to dad. As the years have gone by, Matthew has shown an ever-increasing interest in the family business. This is evident as it manifests in his working steadily, being meticulous in quality, and overcoming challenges as presented.

Recently married, Matthew is grateful for the transformative blessing of the “two shall become one”. With newfound joy, Matthew appreciates the companionship of Aimee and their shared purpose, while cherishing the abundant blessings and growth that marriage brings to his life.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys customizing and wrenching on diesels with his “greatest” accomplishment being a conversion of a gasoline lovin’ Crown Vic into a diesel-burning powerhouse. He also enjoys hunting, snowmobiling on vertical mountainsides, and serving others.
